Support St Aiden’s Food Pantry

3rd of May, 2026

At St Aiden’s Food Pantry, they welcome around 50 to 60 people during their two-hour opening sessions. Every visit represents a person or family who may be facing real and immediate hardship.

Currently they offer 15 essential food items for just £3, helping people stretch limited budgets further and maintain dignity while accessing the support they need. In extreme circumstances, where individuals or families arrive with no money and no food at home, they also provide up to three free shops to ensure no one goes without.

Sadly, they are seeing more and more families arriving in crisis—people with nothing in their pockets and empty cupboards at home. they will never turn anyone away in these situations. However, they must also carefully balance this with the need to sustain the pantry so we can continue supporting our existing members week after week.

What we urgently need

Like many food banks and pantries, they rely heavily on donations. One of there greatest challenges is sourcing tinned food, as supermarkets are less likely to donate these items due to their long shelf life. These essentials are vital for the families we support.

Especially in need of:

  • Tinned vegetables
  • Tinned fruit
  • Tinned soups
  • Jam
  • Pasta
  • Pasta sauces
  • Rice

How you can help

Every donation, no matter how small, makes a real difference. By contributing these essential items, you are directly helping families in our community who are struggling to put food on the table.

Your support helps us continue to offer not just food, but dignity, hope, and a lifeline to those who need it most.
